Multidimensional Book & Movie Exploration: Mr. Nobody
July 19, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC+0Free
Welcome to the new monthly Multidimensional Book & Movie Exploration with Rebecca Whitecotton. Our first discussion will be about Mr. Nobody, a 2009 movie about choices, love, alternate realities, and the meaning of life.
Official movie description:
A boy stands on a station platform as a train is about to leave. Should he go with his mother or stay with his father? Infinite possibilities arise from this decision. As long as he doesn’t choose, anything is possible.
I was totally captivated from start to finish. Taken simply, it’s a philosophical sci-fi film, but it’s so much more than that. It’s about choices, destinies, astrophysics, dreams and memories, just to name a few themes. Taken at its simplest, it’s the jumbled recollections of the last mortal man, 118 years old, on Earth in 2092. The problem is that his memories are in total disorder and contradictory. In practice, it means that this is a very non-linear experience in terms of time and space, real and imaginary, showing you results of important choices either way. — Quebec_Dragon on IMDbRegister Now
The Mr. Nobody trailer is here (It gives away a lot of details, so if you know you want to see it and you don’t like spoilers, just watch the movie!).
The monthly Multidimensional Book and Movie Explorations are free, and hosted by Rebecca Whitecotton, author of Pull Your Self Together: A True Story of Alternate Realities, Spiritual Healing and Dimensional Wholeness. Learn more at rebeccawhitecotton.com.
Once you register you will receive a zoom link several days before the event, or you can find the link on the online event page in Eventbrite after you register.
When this meeting was scheduled, Mr. Nobody was not streaming free on any platform. But it is only $6.99 to buy on Amazon (which is recommended over renting because this movie has so many twists and turns you’ll want to watch it more than once).
Please watch the movie before July 19, and come prepared to ask questions and discuss the twists and turns of the plot and explore the many levels of meaning in this film.Register Now
